What will the APR Course teach You?

The primary objective is to train healthcare professionals in urogynecology to deliver comprehensive neuromuscular rehabilitation of the pelvic floor muscles for patients of all genders. Participants will be equipped to treat and prevent neuromuscular dysfunctions affecting urinary, defecatory, sexual, and pelvic support systems, including urinary and fecal incontinence, obstipation, urinary retention, pelvic organ prolapse, sexual dysfunctions, pelvic pain, and conditions related to pregnancy and the postpartum period.

NOTE: If you wish to attend the ISCG President's VIP Dinner on Friday, March 21, 2024, please purchase your ticket(s) at the time of your registration. The dinner will be held offsite at a five-star Brazilian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale with roundtrip bus service (leaves hotel 7:30pm, leaves restaurant 10:00pm).

​About Dr. Laira Ramos, PhD

​A licensed Physical Therapist in Brazil, she holds a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from Portugal and a Doctorate in Urogynecology from Brazil. Currently, she is developing a medical device registered with WIPO (PT2023/050007). Over the years, Dr. Ramos has pioneered new techniques that modernize and enhance pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation, including the APR and Passive Perineal Rehabilitation protocols and an integrated assessment and treatment methodology recognized internationally. She teaches these techniques to physical therapists worldwide.
