Welcome to the world's first and largest association of gynecologic and aesthetic specialists in female cosmetic medicine and surgery.
Our story began in the late 1990s when founders Marco A. Pelosi II & Marco A. Pelosi III, accomplished pelvic surgeons & surgical educators, began collaborating with their aesthetic surgery counterparts in the fields of plastic surgery, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic surgery. Their large professional network and busy international lecturing agenda gave them unique access to some of the finest aesthetic surgeons worldwide and unique insights into their methods. Combining elements of aesthetic body contouring standards such as liposuction, abdominoplasty, and breast surgery, as well as the new wave of cosmetic vaginal surgery with elements and concepts of minimally invasive surgery, their practice evolved into a fusion that they dubbed cosmetogynecology.
They found intense interest in cosmetogynecology while networking at professional meetings within their large following of colleagues nationally and worldwide. In 2004, they launched the International Society of Cosmetogynecology to foster education, training, collaboration and excellence. This marked the birth of the field of cosmetic gynecology which has been growing ever since. With members in over 40 countries and six continents from all surgical specialties, the ISCG represents a global collaboration of talent.
The ISCG promotes the advancement of knowledge, skill and excellence in female cosmetic medicine and surgery through education, training and fellowship. Our primary goal is to promote and participate in the exchange of surgical knowledge and techniques among surgical specialists worldwide. We seek to cultivate and fortify relationships with surgeons around the globe from all specialties which participate in the cosmetic and aesthetic management of women.
We will increase our visibility in the fields of medicine and surgery by acquainting other organizations having regional, national, and international significance with our activities. This visibility will be supported through an open technical milieu to encourage participation.
We are dedicated to serving the needs of the specialist in female aesthetics personally and professionally. Through superior educational programs, the members of the ISCG have the opportunity to grow and evolve professionally with the sense of community the Society imparts.
